Use A Fitter for Custom Golf Clubs
As you continue to play and improve your golf game, you might want to consider getting some custom clubs that are made to fit your body type, shape and swing style. It is not that uncommon for golfers to pay to have a set of clubs designed specifically for themselves.
It only makes sense. Consider that a man who stands over 6 feet shouldn’t have to play with the same clubs that are designed for somebody much shorter. If your arms and legs are shorter, you would need clubs that are different that the person who is the same height, but may have longer arms.
Shaft Length Adjustment
The club shaft length is probably one of the most important adjustments that will need to be fitted for a custom set of clubs. The club fitter is the person who will determine the length of your personalized golf clubs. The club length can vary by as much a 12 inches in some cases.
Shaft Flex Adjustment
Another very important adjustment that will be made for your custom made clubs is the shaft flex. This describes the stiffness or flex of the shaft of the golf clubs. This needs to be matched to the speed at which you normally swing your clubs. In order to get the right adjustment you’ll have to have your swing speed tested.
Before you think about having custom clubs made, be sure you have a good fitter. Ask around, check with your friends who have had custom clubs made. This will be a big investment so you want to use a fitter who knows what they’re doing and who can be trusted to match the clubs to your body and to your swing speed

I agree that length in an important aspect. Lie angle I rank as the most important aspect of club fitting followed by club length. Having these two math your swing will allow the club to sole properly at impact and increase the chance of hitting the sweet spot.
