Best Golf Clubs For New Golfers
Are you a new golfer? Just starting to learn about golf? Do you know which clubs to carry with you on the course? Maybe a little confused….?
Woods, drivers, irons, putters, wedges…. What to use, when do I use it?
One recommendation for beginner golfers is to only work with the smaller or shorter clubs. Because the smaller clubs are easier to control, the results of the new players swing is often much better than with the longer clubs. One consideration for new golfers is to not even bring their long irons (the 1-iron, the 2-iron and probably the 3-iron). Because these clubs are so long, new golfers generally have trouble mastering them when they are starting out.
Instead of the long irons, consider using fairway woods. It is much easier to hit the ball with these clubs. These clubs have a low profile and a low center of gravity. The larger sized club head makes it much easier to swing thru the grass. And contacting the ball is also much easier because of the larger impact area of the club.
When you meet your golfing buddies the next time you play, consider only taking a 5-wood, a 7-wood and perhaps a 9-wood, as well as the short irons. As you continue to play and practice and as your swing improves, you can begin to work in the longer irons and the longer woods that are more difficult to use.
