Beef Up Practice On The Range
The driving range is one of the serious practice tools that will benefit every beginner golfer’s game. Here are 5 tips to help beef up your practices and get the most from the range–
1. Don’t go to just “hit a few balls”. Have a definite goal of what you want to get out of each practice session.
2. Pick out something to aim at (and always aim at something). Aim for a yard marker sign, the green, a bunker or even a patch of grass.
3. Once you’ve reached the goal for the day, learn when to stop. If you hit too many balls, it can start to get pretty boring or may even lead to injury.
4. Give equal time to practicing with the short irons and the long clubs.
5. When you’re practicing the short shots, never aim for the same place each time. Pick out objects at different distances to aim at. By varying your distances, you’ll see faster progression.
There you have it. Five simple things to think about the next time you make a trip to the driving range to “hit a few”.

Thanks Mike. Sometimes people at the range just go there without a purpose other than to “hit a few”. Then it becomes a waste of time and money.
