The Benefits Of An Effective Golf Exercise Program Are Many

Tiger proved it works. The majority of professional golfers do it. You should too! I’m referring to a golf exercise program. One that is geared to your golf swing. One that will quickly improve your golf swing power, distance and consistency.

Think I’m joking? I’m not! Let me explain why.

The golf swing is brutally damaging to the body. Swinging an implement (golf club) at upwards of 80 mph, while maintaining the very awkward position of golf posture requires you to have a higher level of both strength AND flexibility.

How many times have you tweaked yourself while playing golf? Anything from a twinge in your back to a full blown injury that took you right off the course. Statistics show over 80% of ALL amateur golfers play with a golfing injuring at some point in their golfing lives.

That’s one heck of a big number! The numbers are against you if…you don’t focus on your body with an exercise program specific for golfers.

Besides preventing and eliminating injuries, lets talk about the other benefits.

Starting with longer drives due to improved core strength and flexibility. Improved swing mechanics due to better flexibility throughout your entire swing (and eliminating tension). Better consistency because your strength and endurance will keep your swing in tact for 18 holes.

These are just a few of the many benefits of a golf exercise program. If after reading this article, you still don’t see the need to start a program like this, I don’t know what else to tell you.

This article was provided by Golf Exercise Trainer Mike Pedersen. If you’re looking for a complete golf exercise program including stretches, take a look at his Golf Fitness Manual.
