Simple Golf Stretching Tips For More Power
Golfers want distance. A lot of it. The only problem is their approach. Is it swing harder? Hit more balls? Take more lessons? Did they work? Let me explain why.
A golf swing with power requires a big backswing. The ONLY way to achieve this is stretching your golf specific swing muscles. The golf swing is unnatural. Nothing in daily life can improve the positions you are in during your swing.
Golf stretches that are in different phases of your swing are the most effective. Take a look at your body position at the top of your backswing and at the finished position. Both of these positions are rarely achieved due to the physical restrictions in muscle flexibility.
Take for instance the halfway back position on the take-away. Look at the simple golf stretch I’m doing below. Doesn’t it look like a stretch that’s a partial backswing. The wide leg stance is to eliminate hip turn and stretch my core as well as back of left shoulder for a bigger rotation.

All it takes is easy stretches for golf like that to dramatically improve your swing technique and power.
