Golf Cart Etiquette
Golf was meant to be enjoyed on foot–walking through nature, enjoying the exercise, getting fresh air. But not everyone is able to walk the entire course, and not everyone wants to walk the course.
The Golf Cart
With the advent of the golf cart, the physical demands of the game became easier. For those golfers who were no longer able to walk the course because of health reasons or for the busy golfers who wanted to speed up the game, the appearance of the golf cart was a boon. Motorized golf carts are available at just about every modern course. These make it much easier for people to move from hole to hole faster and with less physical demands.

Golf Cart Etiquette
Along with use of a golf cart, there come certain expectations of etiquette that make things better for all golfers. So when you’re out on the course, consider the following. Your fellow golfers will appreciate it.
1. Do not drive over the fairway. This can leave tire marks and deep ruts in the turf. Stay on the cart paths as much as possible.
2. Never drive a golf cart onto the green, ever! When you approach the green, park the cart on the side of the green, closer to the next tee.
3. Try not to drive a cart near any other player who is setting up for their swing. When you’re getting ready to take a swing, the most frustrating experience can be a disturbance from someone else, especially an inconsiderate player driving a noisy golf cart right past your area.
Following these simple rules of golf cart etiquette can help make everybody’s experience on the course a better one.
